Short-Text:
Improving the quality control of a printing process.
Contact:
After a - possibly long lasting - learning phase, human experts can rate the quality of a complex product quite well. These ratings, however, often are subjective to a certain degree. In order to implement a quality control software system, two goals have to be met: on the one hand, one wants to obtain an objective quality measure; one the other hand, one wants to retain a "human-like" quality rating. Due to the "soft" nature of Fuzzy Logic, both aims can be reached by modelling the expert knowledge with a fuzzy system.
