ASHMOSD = Austrian Structural Health Monitoring System Demonstrator
This project deals with the assurance of the structural integrity of components in aeroplanes, manufactured based on fibre re-inforced material. An important component therein is the detection of structural defects on the surfaces of these components. Methdologies such piezo sensors or phased arrays support the data acquisition part, where usually transient signals (with different sensors and actuators at different position of the aeroplane part) are recorded. These serve as input for further analysis in the fault detection component.
